Aims & Scope

Up to the sixtieth, automotive manufacturers didn’t worry about the cost of fuel. They had never heard of air pollution, and they had never thought about life cycle. Ease of operation with reduced cost maintenance costs meant everything back then.

Times have changed. Nowadays, clean air mandates are driving the market to embrace green mobility strategies. At a first glance, it is quite commonly believed that these consist in the integration of new automotive technologies where the internal combustion engines are substituted by electric propellers leading to electric vehicles (EVs). Nevertheless, such an approach to achieve the transition to green mobility would be far from being significant in terms of reduction of the emissions of greenhouse gases if the EVs would be charged from conventional grids incorporating power stations fed by fossil fuels. Hence, it comes clear that, in order to be sustainable, the mobility has to be imperatively allied to green energies in order to refuel the EVs from zero emission sources.

The objective of SMART2022 is to provide a unique forum for discussion of the latest developments in the field of sustainable mobility and energy and the associated technologies. It offers the attendees plenty of networking opportunities, providing the chance to meet and interact with leading researchers as well as most influential experts. The conference features top scientists, industrialists and highly cited researchers in the field. SMART will bring together, from a global perspective, scientists, researchers, end-users, industry, policy makers from several professional backgrounds to exchange ideas, advance knowledge and discuss key issues for the sustainable development with emphasis on the mobility, energy, buildings, and industrial plants and processes.
